How to Style our Viscose Jacquard Knitwear for Party Season

The Aster Jacquard Lace Knitted Long Cardigan

I’ve loved wearing this long knitted cardigan throughout the warmer months, layering it over everything from shorts and a t-shirt to my swimsuit, but I’m already excited for how I will style it for party season. This is such a versatile piece, and is perfect for adding a touch of sparkle to elevate a simple outfit. As someone who loves to feel comfortable, I’m considering wearing this on Christmas Day itself, paired with my favourite pair of jeans and a roll-neck jumper. I can throw this long knitted cardigan on as an extra layer, both for warmth and to effortlessly dress up my outfit for welcome drinks when guests arrive. Alternatively, it looks just as good worn over a dark-toned merino wool t-shirt and a pair of wide legged jeans for going out for post-work cocktails.

The Aster Jacquard Knitted Kaftan Dress

Dresses are great for last-minute invites, when you may not have time to pull an outfit together but can pull on your favourite dress and instantly feel great. Our Aster dress has an easy-to-wear loose silhouette, which can easily be dressed up or down dependent on your choice of accessories. I like to tie a simple belt around my waist and pair it with statement earrings and a heeled shoe. You could also make it feel a bit more casual by wearing it with chunky boots or trainers, and layering with a cardigan or oversized knit.

The Aria Jacquard Knitted Vest

My favourite detail of our Aria knitted vest is the deep v-neckline of its back. Combined with the shallower v-neck at the front and its loose silhouette, this makes an excellent piece for your party wardrobe. Personally, I like to pair this vest with a streamlined long silk skirt or a tailored pair of jeans, for an outfit that is perfect for dinner or drinks. The sparkly yarn instantly gives it a festive touch, but it’s also a versatile top that can be worn year round. The vest can also be paired with our matching knitted skirt for a more statement look.

The Aria Jacquard Knitted Skirt

This is another piece which can effortlessly be dressed up and down, dependent on the occasion. As mentioned above, it can be paired with the matching Aria knitted vest (or also the t-shirt) for a more bold look which is perfect for festivities. One of my favourite styling tips for the festive season, however, is to wear a statement skirt with a beautiful jumper, creating an outfit that keeps you warm but also has a wonderful juxtaposition to it. I’ve even noticed celebrities wearing similar outfits on the red carpet recently, pairing lace, silk or glittering long skirts with elegant knitwear. This would work for any occasion – dressing up drinks in your local bar, a cocktail party at a friend’s house, or for Christmas Day itself.

The Aria Jacquard Knitted T-Shirt

I would style our Aria knitted t-shirt in a very similar way to the Aria vest, although the t-shirt perhaps lends itself to a more casual outfit. The sparkly yarn instantly makes it feel festive, whether it’s paired with your favourite pair of jeans or the matching skirt. To dress it up and create an outfit that feels slightly more elegant, I would recommend pairing it with a silk or velvet maxi skirt, or a pair of leather trousers  or high waisted tailored trousers. Your choice of footwear and accessories will also transform this t-shirt – a pair of statement earrings and heels instantly elevate it to partywear.
