GENEVIEVE SWEENEY GEOMETRIC LAMBSWOOL SCARF IN BURGUNDY & ORANGE
Presented in an autumnal blend of rich orange and burgundy, let this luxurious scarf inject a statement finish into cold weather looks. Designed to an oversized, blanket-inspired shape, it features a striking chevron pattern that evokes the stylish textile art of the 1920s and 30s.
This scarf is crafted from pure merino lambswool – a coveted yarn produced by the first shearing of the animal. In this case that animal is the merino sheep, a special breed that produces wool celebrated for combining sumptuous softness with lasting durability. Not only is it naturally fine and breathable, but its temperature regulating properties keep you cool in the heat and warm against the cold.
The reversible, double-sided knitted jacquard design offers two different ways to wear; or alternatively, twist as you wrap for a completely unique look.
Like all of Genevieve's pieces, this scarf owes its provenance to a purely UK-based team of highly skilled crafters. The soft lambswool yarn is first spun in Yorkshire, then transported to a small family-run mill in the Scottish Borders that specialises in knitting winter accessories. Finally, it is washed in the pure waters of the Teviot River to enhance its luxurious look and feel.
A versatile winter must-have, wear this scarf bundled up over a leather jacket while out and about; or alternatively, wrap it around your shoulders and let its generous, snuggly size really dial up the hygge factor – perfect for working from home or simply curling up on the sofa.
