Spun by Genevieve herself in the softest burgundy merino wool twisted with natural alpaca, these socks are incredibly soft and comfortable.

Knitted into the most beautiful sock by twisting together the softness and durability of merino wool with the luscious and warmth of Yorkshire spun alpaca. These socks are custom-spun by Genevieve herself to create a selection of unique colour blends; in this case, a deep burgundy merino wool with natural alpaca finished with lilac tipping.

To create the Salpaca sock, Genevieve approached a family-run mill based in Derbyshire. After spotting the unusable end-of-line yarns, decided to rescue them from simply being thrown away. Many of the yarns were small batches of discontinued colours, so Genevieve let her creativity run wild, twisting them together and producing unique blends out of otherwise wasted products. Twisting the yarns together can take hours and is something most factories wouldn’t have time for. Still, for Genevieve, it’s all about embracing the joy of slow manufacturing – and in doing so, creating something truly original and beautiful.
