To ensure that the Selina offers a glittering finish without compromising on comfort, Genevieve works with a premium viscose blend with a scattering of tonal silk tweeds. Unlike other sparkly socks, it feels incredibly soft and smooth against the skin, while nylon plating helps the yarn recover well after washing; guaranteeing lasting comfort and stretch. A shimmering lilac sock with midnight blue stripe detailing injects a fun finish.

The sparkly yarn detail within our GS socks has FSC (Forest Stewardship Council),  Eco Vero certification & STANDARD 100 OEKO-TEX® certification means that the textile fibres have been extensively tested and declared free of harmful substances. As a result, they are deemed completely safe for human health.

Being certified by the FSC means that any products containing wood and its origins (in this case the cellulose used to produce viscose) comes only from forests managed in an environmentally responsible way. Likewise, EcoVero certifies the origin of the product is from green sources, and that an eco-friendly production process has taken place.

With the Selina sock, Genevieve continues to demonstrate her dedication to sustainability and slow, considered fashion. Rather than sourcing her production overseas, she works closely with a family-run, Derbyshire-based mill that manufactures in small batches to reduce waste. The Selina’s signature intarsia design is crafted using a traditional machine-led method coupled with a hand-finishing technique that truly embraces the joy and beauty of artisan craft.
