A colourful twist on an iconic design, the Samar Argyle socks feature a stylish fusion of complex marls knitted in dramatic colour-blocked diamonds in blue. The yarns are custom-spun by Genevieve herself, creating a soft, sustainable and breathable organic cotton blend that is twisted together using a traditional intarsia technique.

Made from soft, organic GOTS certified cotton, these socks are custom-spun by Genevieve herself to create a selection of totally unique colour blends – in this case bright red, vibrant blue and opic white melange. These beautiful marls are then twinned with a contrasting diamond argyle in vibrant blue.

To create the Samar sock, Genevieve approached a family-run mill based in Derbyshire, and after spotting the unusable end-of-line yarns, decided to rescue them from simply being thrown away. Many of the yarns were small batches of discontinued colours, so Genevieve let her creativity run wild, twisting them together and producing completely unique blends out of otherwise wasted product. Twisting the yarns together can take hours and is something most factories wouldn’t have time for; but for Genevieve, it’s all about embracing the joy of slow manufacturing – and in doing so creating something truly original and beautiful.
