Crafted by twisting together discontinued and end-of-line yarns, the Samar socks are made from a custom-spun blend of red, charcoal and grey merino wool melange. These stylish everyday socks are given a stylish twist with contrasting tonal charcoal grey melange toes, heels and ribbed trims.

Made from soft – yet highly durable – machine washable merino wool, these socks are custom-spun by Genevieve herself to create a selection of totally unique colour blends – in this case red, charcoal and grey melange. These beautiful marls are then twinned with a tonal grey melange toe, heel and ribbed trim.

To create the Samar sock, Genevieve approached a family-run mill based in Derbyshire, and after spotting the unusable end-of-line yarns, decided to rescue them from simply being thrown away. Many of the yarns were small batches of discontinued colours, so Genevieve let her creativity run wild, twisting them together and producing completely unique blends out of otherwise wasted product. Twisting the yarns together can take hours and is something most factories wouldn’t have time for; but for Genevieve, it’s all about embracing the joy of slow manufacturing – and in doing so creating something truly original and beautiful.
