THE YARN 

Our premium organic cotton has been certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard known as GOTS. This manufacturing model not only ensures safe and fair working conditions for both cotton manufacturers and textile chain workers but a premium quality product free from harmful substances such as pesticides, fertilisers or defoliants.

By working with a high-quality viscose blend, Genevieve ensures that the Serora offers a glittering finish without compromising on comfort. Unlike other sparkly socks, it feels incredibly soft, smooth and cosy against the skin. The Serora glittery sock is knitted in a spiral stripe of soft lilac viscose with twist of sage green lurex and a bright blue detail.

The sparkly yarn detail within our GS socks has STANDARD 100 OEKO-TEX® certification means that the textile fibres have been extensively tested and declared free of harmful substances. As a result, they are deemed completely safe for human health.

THE DETAILS 
Not only does the Serora provide exceptional comfort with its soft yarn and seamless construction, but the complexity of its contrast-colour design should not be overlooked. Creating this pattern is a highly complicated technique that not only challenges traditional intarsia machines but – in true reflection of Genevieve’s slow fashion values – also takes a long time.

SUSTAINABILITY CREDENTIALS 
To create the Samar sock, Genevieve approached a family-run mill based in Derbyshire, and after spotting the unusable end-of-line yarns, decided to rescue them from simply being thrown away. Many of the yarns were small batches of discontinued colours, so Genevieve let her creativity run wild, twisting them together and producing completely unique blends out of otherwise wasted products. Twisting the yarns together can take hours and is something most factories wouldn’t have time for; but for Genevieve, it’s all about embracing the joy of slow manufacturing – and in doing so creating something truly original and beautiful.
