Behind the Scenes Autumn Winter 17

The photoshoot is one of my favourite moments of bringing the collection together, not only does it mean I have to stop knitting (even if it is 4am the morning of the shoot) but I have the chance to work with the most amazing team!

Textural mark making inspirationThe AW17 collection was inspired by mark making, focusing on faded and repeating traditional patterns engraved onto thatched cottages that surround the GS studio in Clavering, Essex. The term Pargetting, originating from the 15th century in the East of England, is created by inscribing and carving repeated patterns by hand into the exterior plaster with sticks and metal tools. This idea of mark making was included into the backdrop, with every line created by hand.

Introducing the dream team….

Can’t thank this amazing team enough for all their hard work, what a beautiful shoot!
